From 15. to 17. November 2024 the 7th PhD Student seminar of the DAAS working group of the germanc society of chemists (GDCh) took place in Berlin. The event was organized true tot the theme "from doctorates for doctorates" by PhD stundents of the 1.1 division inorganic trace analysis of the german Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM).
The working group of Prof. Dr. Fittschen was represented by Frithjof Mähler with his talk Determination of diffusion inside ionometric membranes with micro XRF and Frederik Droste-Rehling and his talk Challenges and approaches on characterisation of LIB recycling slag by ETV-ICP-OES. Besides talks and posters from the different research ares of analytical trace analysis and keynotes for research and career developement the first day was designed as workshop for ETV-methods. During this workshop and during the whole event the opportunity for in depth discussion with fellow users and manufacturers was possible and received .
