The international conference brought together experts from science and industry to discuss innovative approaches to the valorisation of metallurgical slags under the motto ‘From Residues to Resources and Resilience’.
Ursula Fittschen and Pascal Roth also took part in the conference. Ursula Fittschen gave a presentation on the various research areas and working groups at Clausthal University of Technology that are working on the recovery of critical elements from slags as part of the DFG-funded SPP2315 project. Her contribution made a significant contribution to providing an overview of current research approaches and projects.
The conference provided a valuable platform for dialogue between science and industry. Technical solutions, regulatory issues and the economic potential of slag utilisation were discussed in numerous specialist presentations and discussions.
