In the frame of the ReMade EU project "Slags as resources of advanced functional materials, compound formation, modification and characteristics" Dr. Sven Hampel from DESY (TUC alumni), Pascal Roth and Prof. Ursula Fittschen had the opportunity to do research at the ESRF (Grenoble, France) on engineered artificial minerals (EnAM), which are potential scavenger compounds for the recovery of critical elements from waste streams. At the ESRF ID22 in situ high temperature experiments on EnAMs and EnAM-precursors were performed. The photo shows Pascal Roth inserting the Ni capillary on the rotation stage.
