CANAS 2019

This year's Colloquium Analytical Atomic Spectroscopy (CANAS) was held at the Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg from September 23-26, 2019.

This year's Colloquium Analytical Atomic Spectroscopy (CANAS) took place at the Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg from September 23 to 26, 2019. The Fittschen working group participated with two contributions. Professor Fittschen gave a talk on "Improving specimens in TXRF using ink-jet printing and angle scan information" (in the photo on the right), Alena Wittkowski presented a poster on "Characterization of slags with respect to recycling of critical materials with laboratory-based XANES". In addition, the opportunity was taken to learn about electrothermal evaporation coupled with ICP-OES in the "ETV User Club".

In addition to lectures from various fields of atomic spectroscopy and discussions during the poster presentations, there was also time for a city tour through the city of Freiberg, which is characterized by silver mining, and for a visit to the impressive mineral exhibition "Terra Mineralia".
