On February 14 and 15, 2019, the 3rd Lower Saxony Symposium on Materials Engineering took place at the Clausthal University of Technology. Offered were industrial as well as research lectures on different materials such as metals, plastics and wood. The Fittschen working group was represented by Christian Lutz, who gave a presentation entitled "Development of new procedures for elemental determination and speciation in vanadium redox flow batteries". He also published an article in the conference proceedings (ISBN: 978-3-8440-6471-1).
