Analytical Chemistry at Studi-Science Day

On 29.06.2023 the Studi-Science Day took place for the first time at the TU Clausthal. The Working Group for Materials Analysis and Functional Solids participated with 6 contributions.

In the Aula Academica of the TU, a colorful mix of about 100 participants came together for the first Studi-Science Day of the TU Clausthal - from professors, doctors and doctoral students of the individual institutes to master's and bachelor's students to high school students. With a total of five poster contributions and one demonstration, Analytical Chemistry made its contribution to the success of the event.

The junior members of the working group presented current and completed work. The bachelor student Erik Küntzelmann (contribution: "Utilizing polystyrene films as a reflecting surface in TXRF"), the master students Pascal Roth (contribution: "Speciation of Cr and Fe in slags") and Franzika Sand (contribution: "Picolite drops for micropreparation in elemental analysis"), as well as the PhD students Frithjof Mähler (contribution: "Ion transport in the separator membrane of vanadium redox flow batteries") and Frederik Droste-Rehling (contribution: "Solid analysis of recycling slags") presented their research and results to interested audiences. Doctoral student Sven Hampel demonstrated the picoliter printer he developed for the controlled preparation of three-dimensional microstructures for elemental analysis.
