Sophie Wunderlich's Dissertation Defense

On November 14, 2025, Sophie Wunderlich successfully defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic: “Characterization of basic oxygen furnace slags and slag leachates with respect to the recovery of critical materials.”

On November 14, 2025, Sophie Wunderlich successfully defended her outstanding cumulative dissertation on the topic “Characterization of basic oxygen furnace slags and slag leachates with respect to the recovery of critical materials.”

Following the defense, she celebrated her degree with friends and colleagues in a convivial gathering. The new Ph.D. continues to work at Salzgitter Mannesmann Forschungs GmbH. She completed her dissertation while working in the industry.
