Professional experience at the Institute of Mineralogy, Department of Marine Research, at Clausthal University of Technology. Responsibilities: Participation in ship-based research expeditions to study marine mineral resources; wet chemical analyses; flame, hydride, and graphite-tube AAS; UV/UV-Vis spectroscopy; development of sample preparation methods.

Professional activity at the Institute of Geology, Department of Petroleum Geology, at Clausthal University of Technology. Responsibilities: Grain size analyses, porosity determinations, density determinations, powder X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis of carbon and sulfur, and investigations of historical gypsum mortars.

Since 2004, member of the Inorganic Chemistry Research Group, with responsibilities including: supervising qualitative and preparative laboratory courses for students, X-ray powder diffraction, and equipment maintenance.
